Booking Confirmation:

Please read the terms and conditions carefully, as we assume that by receiving a booking through this website and/or a request via email, you have read and accepted them.

When you book a tour on the website skallventures.is, we assume you have read and accepted the terms. If a person makes a booking for more than one person, he/she is responsible for payment from all in the group as well as accepting the terms and conditions on behalf of all in the group.

Required Information During Booking:

It is crucial that you provide all the necessary details accurately during the booking process. Upon the completion of your booking, you will receive a confirmation email containing your booking number and the voucher(s) for the service(s) you have reserved. This voucher acts as your proof of payment; therefore, you must always be able to provide a physical copy or an electronic version on your mobile device to show on the day of your tour.

Responsibility for Booking Accuracy:

You bear the responsibility to review all details in your booking confirmation and related documents to verify their accuracy. In the event of a discrepancy, such as incorrect dates or an erroneous number of participants, please contact Skall Ventures immediately. Timely notification is essential, as it may become increasingly challenging to alter your reservation as the tour departure date approaches. Skall Ventures will not assume responsibility for errors made during the booking process that are not promptly reported.

Booking Changes:

If you need to change a booking, we will try to assist you in any way possible. The sooner you are in touch, the better. If you need to change a booking, contact us through the contact form on skallventures.is or send us an email to info@skallventures.is. We can’t guarantee that we can change a tour, but we will always do our best.

Cancellation Policy:

If you need to cancel your booked arrangements, you must give us written notice by email signed by the same person who made the original booking. Skall Ventures will do its best regarding your cancellation request. Cancellations should be sent to info@skallventures.is.

Refund Policy: (unchanged)

More than two weeks prior to tour departure: 90% refund.
Less than two weeks and more than one week prior to tour departure: 75% refund.
Less than one week and more than 72 hours prior to tour departure: 50% refund.
Less than 72 hours and more than 24 hours prior to departure: 25% refund.
Less than 24 hours prior to tour departure: Non-refundable.

Refund Method:

The method of refund payments is the same as the original payment. For example, if payment was made by credit card, the refund will be to the same credit card. Based on the time a written cancellation was received, a refund percentage is determined. Fluctuations in exchange rates are not in our control, so the amount in your currency might differ.

Modifications and Changes:

Skall Ventures prides itself on delivering high-quality tour experiences as advertised. However, we reserve the right to make alterations to the tour itineraries, schedules, or transportation if deemed necessary due to circumstances beyond our control (e.g., to change any tour route to avoid sudden hazardous weather conditions).

We are committed to ensuring that any changes made will be minor in nature and will not detract from the overall tour experience. In the event of a modification, we will make every reasonable effort to inform our customers as soon as possible.

Disclaimer:

All tours and activities offered by Skall Ventures are undertaken at the participants’ own risk. Skall Ventures does not assume any responsibility for accidents that are caused by our customers or can be traced back to their actions.

Liability:
Skall Ventures sells tours from third-party tour operators; therefore, Skall Ventures cannot be held accountable for changes that a tour operator might make. Skall Ventures is also not liable for expenses because of accidents or sickness, strikes that will affect your tour, changes in flight schedules, or other happenings that Skall Ventures has no control over, like weather or volcanic activities.

Behavior Policies:

Skall Ventures promotes an environment of respect and safety. We do not tolerate any form of violence, racism, or harassment towards our staff or fellow tour participants. We reserve the right to terminate a tour without refund and take legal action if necessary against anyone exhibiting such behaviors.

Photography and Marketing:

During tours, our guides and staff may take photographs or videos that could be used for marketing purposes, including publication on social media platforms. If you do not wish to be photographed or have your image used in this way, please inform our staff at the start of the tour.

Governing Law:

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Iceland. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms and Conditions, including disputes relating to the validity thereof, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Reykjavik District Court (Héraðsdómur Reykjavíkur).
