This stunning 12-meter high waterfall, surrounded by lush greenery, offers a picturesque setting ideal for photography and short nature walks. Legend says a mischievous giant resides here, adding an interesting folklore element to the experience. You’ll have 20 minutes to explore the waterfall and its surroundings.

Next, enjoy a 20-minute drive to Deildartunguhver Thermal Spring, one of Iceland’s most powerful hot springs. Known for producing around 180 liters of boiling water per second, it’s the most productive hot spring in Europe. The steam rising from the water creates a captivating atmosphere, and you’ll have 15 minutes to take in the geothermal landscape and the surrounding walking paths.

From there, it’s a 20-minute drive to Reykholtkirkja, a charming church in the village of Reykholt, built in 1878. The church is connected to Snorri Sturluson, one of Iceland’s most famous medieval poets, and is a symbol of Iceland’s rich literary heritage. You’ll spend 15 minutes here, exploring the church and learning about its historical significance.

Your next stop is just a 20-minute drive to Hraunfossar and Barnafoss Waterfalls, two stunning waterfalls near Reykholt. Hraunfossar is unique, with water flowing from the Hallmundarhraun lava field, while Barnafoss is known for its more dramatic and rushing flow. The contrasting beauty of these two falls makes them perfect for photography. You’ll have 45 minutes to enjoy the serene landscapes and capture the stunning views.

Afterward, take a 1-hour drive from Húsafell to Langjökull Glacier, Iceland’s second-largest glacier. This vast glacier offers adventurous activities and stunning views of the surrounding landscape.
